چکیده
Abstract Background TL1A is a TNF super family member cytokine encoded by TNFSF15 and reported to be disease susceptibility gene for IBD. The relationship between expression IBD pathophysiology, clinical course, endoscopic findings was not sufficiently clear. aim of this study clarify the correlation in intestinal mucosa UC severity, course. Methods subjects were patients with who visiting our hospital. Mucosal samples biopsied from rectum lower gastrointestinal endoscopy, examined RT-PCR. We analyzed patients’ background, symptoms, blood test findings, mucosal activity expression. Results A total 77 specimens obtained individual colonoscopy 61 cases included. Median age 43, 36 males, duration 2 years, number pancolitis 54, median partial mayo score (pMayo) 3, level CRP 1.5 mg/L. Mayo subscore (MES) 0, 1, 2, 3 14, 27, 24, 12, respectively, mean 1.76-, 1.09-, 1.17-times higher MES than respectively. significantly 1 0 2. active group (pMayo 4 or higher) compared clinically low lower). ≥0.03 <0.03. those at initial onset 3. Eight before after induction therapy, increased 1.9-fold therapy. No found use biologics small molecular compounds TL1A. Conclusion Relatively revealed known secreted various cell types such as macrophages lymphocytes. It suggested that source amount would alter according degree inflammation.

Association between the ulcerative colitis endoscopic index of severity (UCEIS) and outcomes in acute severe ulcerative colitis.
BACKGROUND The Ulcerative Colitis Endoscopic Index of Severity (UCEIS) accounts for 86% of the variance between observers in the overall assessment of endoscopic severity, but has not been correlated with outcomes. METHODS Consecutive cases of acute severe colitis (ASC) defined by Truelove and Witts (TW) criteria were retrospectively evaluated. Demographic details, number of TW criteria, prio...
متن کاملClinical course of ulcerative colitis.
AIM To provide a review of studies on prognosis in ulcerative colitis by reviewing the relevant population-based cohort studies. On the basis of incidence and population studies, ulcerative colitis has a favourable clinical course, with good quality of life, a chronic course characterized by at least one relapse, and a surgery rate of 30% after 10 years from diagnosis. Patients affected by seve...
متن کاملDeveloping an instrument to assess the endoscopic severity of ulcerative colitis: the Ulcerative Colitis Endoscopic Index of Severity (UCEIS)
BACKGROUND Variability in endoscopic assessment necessitates rigorous investigation of descriptors for scoring severity of ulcerative colitis (UC). OBJECTIVE To evaluate variation in the overall endoscopic assessment of severity, the intra- and interindividual variation of descriptive terms and to create an Ulcerative Colitis Endoscopic Index of Severity which could be validated. DESIGN A t...

Background/Aims The therapeutic goal for treating ulcerative colitis (UC) patients has shifted to achieving mucosal healing over the past few years. However, at present, limited data is available on the correlation between endoscopic findings and histological remission in patients with endoscopic mucosal healing. Methods This was a prospective observational study conducted over a period of 18...
